To make up for one day of lost sick time, an employee would work 10-11 hours the next 4 days. The supervisor was then removing the overtime calculation from timekeeping and adding it as regular pay to avoid paying overtime. Any thoughts?

I have a nonexempt employee who would like to accumulate comp time and use it at a later date. She indicated that she would sign a waiver that she would not file a claim with the DOL for overtime not paid. Should I allow her to do this?

Can you tell me if time off for a worker compensation issue is considered productive or non-productive time, i.e., if a person works 3 1/2 hour days and is off 8 hours for a worker comp injury, would we need to pay overtime based on the total hours?

We have several non-exempt employees who have volunteered to work extra hours during a 3 week evening event we are hosting next month. They already work 40 hours per week. Can we pay them a flat rate and list it as a bonus?

In the state of Oklahoma is an non-exempt employee owed overtime for a week with a holiday?

We regularly work a 37.5 hour work week. But our handbook states that salary is based on 40hr/week. Our office hours are also stated with a disclaimer that there may be times more hours are required. Is this okay/legal?

In the state of Maryland can an exempt employee receive Comp Time for hours worked over 40?

We would like to implement Overtime Policy. Is it enough to post the policy on the bulletin board so that every one can see it? Or is it necessary to have everyone sign on the policy?

When somebody works on Sunday, will he be getting paid double time?

Our nurses work 12 hour shifts and are paid OT at the rate of 1.5 times their wage rate/hr for all hrs over 40. We have other departments who are paid OT at the rate of 1.5 their wage rate/hr for all hours over 8 daily. What are your thoughts on this
