When is an employer required to pay employees on leave for jury duty under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)?  



If someone is subpoenaed to court, does the company by law have to pay the employee? 



If a small company of 5-8 employees has an employee called to Jury Duty what can they do to get that employee excused? 



An exempt employee is summoned to a day in court - he has just started with our company. We have requested that he bring back certification of his court appearance. Would it be treated the same as jury duty? 



It has been our practice to compensate 1st shift employees when called to jury duty. We have not, in the past, compensated 2nd or 3rd shift employees. Is this ok? 



Why is there a two week jury duty limit included in most policies?
