Can I make my employees take an unpaid lunch period? also, we are about to have a work force reduction due to a reduction in business, what terminology should I use? 



we want to know if the employer must now always pay the hour penalty if once in awhile they ask an employee to work during the lunch hour allowing a meal at the desk and paying for the lunch period 



We have employees who sometimes clock out for 15 to 28/29 minutes for lunch. I heard that if an employee does not clock out for a full 30 minutes then no part of that time can be deducted from their hours. Are we violating the law? 



Is an hourly employee entitled to overtime pay if he does not take the two 15-minute breaks we allow during the day? 



Can we require that all breaks be taken on bank premises? 



If we give a short break to our employees and they leave the building can we ask them to clock out for that period of time? 



In New York State, must an employee who works more than 6 hours each day take a 1/2 hour lunch?
