We have an employee who absolutely refuses to disclose his social security number to insurance carriers. What are the legalities on this, does Delta Dental (our potential new carrier), have the legal right to demand the SS#.

I have an employee who has just informed me that his Social Security Number is fake. He then gave me an IRS Individual Taxpayer ID Number. He is terminated, but can employee use that IRS number to work?

SUBJECT: Coordination of Benefits---Medicare for Disabled Participants Under Age 65

Is there an internet resource for verifying social security numbers?

An employee is going to be eligible for social security and does not want to earn more than $11,00 per annum. She has asked that her base hourly wage be reduced by the cost of her payment for health premiums. May we do this legally?

My employee has heard somewhere that if you are born after 1938, then you must work one month past your 65th birthday before you are eligible for full social security benefits. Is this true?

My 72 year old mother recently went back to work for the first time in about 12 years. What does she have to be aware of as far as Social Security and Taxes?
