A Note to Readers

So far, only three local jurisdictions have required employers to offer paid sick leave, but now a member of Congress wants the federal government to do so. Under legislation proposed by U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), employers would be required to allow each employee to earn at least 1 hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. You can read the details of the proposal in the news.

What do you think? Will a paid-sick-leave requirement become law this year? Let us know in this week’s poll.
