While "tipple" can refer to the selling and drinking of alcoholic beverages, a Tipple Boss doesn't oversee such activities. In the mining industry, a tipple is a structure where coal is cleaned and loaded in railroad cars or trucks. A Tipple Boss may oversee such workers as Tipple Greasers and Tipple Oilers who lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.

Should You Audit Your Comp Plans?
