Job Title: Rectifier
National Average Salary: $28.18 per hour (June 2005 data)

While reminiscent of the title of a vengeance-themed action film, individuals with this job title aren't called on to right any injustices.

Rectifiers are classified under the job category of "Power Plant Operators," which includes occupations concerned with controlling equipment in power plants utilizing fossil fuels, hydroelectric power, and atomic energy; monitoring and controlling equipment in manned or remote-controlled substations and standby generating plants; and related activities concerned with the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity for utilization by domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers.
