Winds of Change for FMLA

One recent development regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) will result in changes to the law--and another signals that more changes could soon be on the horizon.

First, President Bush has now signed legislation that expands FMLA to relatives of military personnel under certain circumstances.

Meanwhile, in a development that could have more widespread implications, the Department of Labor has submitted proposed new FMLA regulations to the Office of Management and Budget for approval.
