A new survey finds that "Top Master's Employers" plan to increase their hiring of college graduates with master's degrees by 22% this year.

CollegeGrad.com, an entry level job site, conducted its 2008 Top Entry Level Employers survey, and identified the "Top 100 Master's Employers for 2008" as those who were projected to make the most master's level hires in 2008.

Among these top 100 employers, 59% anticipate hiring more graduates in 2008 than in 2007, according to CollegeGrad.com, while 28% plan on hiring the same number as last year.

The 100 employers identified in the survey are projected to account for more than 8,000 master's hires this year. Americorps, which topped the list, plans to hire 1,000 master's candidates in 2008, according to the survey.

The most sought after master's degrees this year will include Accounting, Engineering and Computer Science degrees. CollegeGrad.com reports that these three majors will account for 63% of all master's hiring in 2008. Education and Business Administration degrees round out the top five most sought after degrees among master's candidates.

"Even with the current decline in economic confidence, a projected 22% increase in master's hiring presents master's level job seekers with a very positive job outlook in 2008," according to a CollegeGrad.com press release announcing the survey results.
