‘I'm Underpaid' Say Most HR and Compensation Pros

When asked how they feel about their pay, 38 percent of respondents said they are underpaid but won't be asking for a raise anytime soon. Another 20 percent said they were underpaid and will ask for a raise soon.

While most respondents said they believed they should be paid more, 38 percent of respondents said they were paid just about the right amount, and another 3 percent even admitted that they are overpaid.

An August 2008 poll on and found that 60 percent of respondents said they are underpaid.
