Most companies report providing some type of individual performance pay to all employees, according to a recent survey of Pay for Performance practices conducted by BLR. This was true at all role levels: executive, middle management, professional, exempt staff and nonexempt employee.
When asked about performance pay for groups or teams, however, most companies reported that group performance pay is provided to professional employees, exempt staff and nonexempt employees, but not to executives or middle management.
The current survey, which garnered 560 responses, was conducted by BLR's HR Daily Advisor in April, 2011.
